This is a sponsored post; however all opinions are 100% mine.
Everyone knows Groupon is the place to go if you’re looking for deals on things like event tickets, services like hair cuts and spa treatments, and lots of miscellaneous goods. Did you know they also have a coupon section? I didn’t know this until I was asked to write a sponsored post and because I absolutely HATE to pay full price for anything, I was super excited!
My husband and I rarely go out of town these days. Last week, we decided to take a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip to South Lake Tahoe, CA. If you’ve never been to STL, you really should add that to your bucket list. It’s breathtakingly gorgeous and there are lots of fun things to do besides sit and stare at the beautiful lake (though I’d still go if that was all I could do – it’s that pretty). If you are a skier or snowboarder, this is your mecca. I’m not athletic enough or coordinated enough for that, so I stick to things like nature, food, and shows at one of the many casinos.
I found a deal on a hotel room and tickets to a comedy show at Harvey’s and we were on our way. Now, if you’ve ever experienced winter traffic in an area targeted to snow sports, you will definitely understand this next part. Our hotel was only a couple blocks from Harvey’s, but I did NOT want to walk (or drive) for a couple of reasons. First, it was COLD. Like 5° Fahrenheit cold. I was not dressed for the Arctic tundra, so there was that. Also, it was slippery. As I said before, I am not athletic and not very coordinated. Me + ice = disaster. Last, but not least, the traffic is horrible. So…we needed a taxi or bus or – UBER.
I had never used Uber before. I’d used Lyft a handful of times, but there didn’t seem to be more than one Lyft driver in the area, so Uber won. Remember when I said I hate to pay full price? I meant it. I remembered this sponsored post opportunity and thought I’d give Groupon Coupons a shot at saving me some more money. I opened the app on my phone and to my happy surprise, there was a coupon for a free ride up to $10! I clicked the link to activate the discount and sure enough, it worked. Our ride was $8.51, which is a small price to pay for keeping me out of the hospital, and with Groupon Coupons, it was FREE.
We had a great time at the comedy show and knowing we wouldn’t have to drive or walk back to the hotel made it better. Getting that ride back free was the icing on the cake and now I’m hooked on Groupon Coupons! Here are just a few other places you can save money at with Groupon Coupons:
There are thousands more! Take a look and let me know what you might use Groupon Coupons for first. I love hearing about others saving money almost as much as I love saving money myself. 🙂
